Statutory Fees
The fees for a project depend very much on the type, size and complexity of the project. There will be Statutory Fees payable for both. The planning Permission Submission and Building Control Application submission payable directly to that organisation.

These fees depend on the type/size of development being undertaken and are currently as follows:

Fees for our services are usually negotiable depending on the project.
A small extension such as a sunlounge, or single storey extension or garage would attract a block fee. A new dwelling is charged an agreed £ per square foot rate, which can vary between 50p to £2 depending on the type, nature and complexity of the project. Large projects such as church or commercial buildings are charged on a percentage of the contract sum basis.

Project Management and Architect Certification for Self Build Mortgages are charged on a Block fee basis negotiable on a site specific basis.

50% of the total fee is payable after Planning Permission Approval is gained with the remaining 50% payable on Building Control Approval. We do not require or ask for H R JESS fees upfront.
